#WeCare '23

The #WeCare event is back for its third year as part of the Youth Beatz Fringe programme, and will be taking place on Thursday 29 June, 12noon – 8pm at Park Farm Showfield in Dumfries.

The event is aimed at bringing together care experienced young people from across Dumfries and Galloway to take part in a daytime programme of interactive workshops and an evening celebration event. This year will see young people have the opportunity to go through The Toon Experience, an Urban Adventure Session, Local Changemaker Workshops and more.

 

Key details about the event:

  • Co-designed with young people, the programme aims to be interactive and informative for attendees.
  • Transport is available to and from the event with stop off points in towns across Dumfries and Galloway (anywhere there is a secondary school).
  • The event is open to any young person aged P7 or above, with attendees allocated into groups based on age for workshops.  
  • Lunch, dinner and refreshments will be provided during the event.
  • Sign up is essential and the deadline for this is Tuesday 20 June
  • The event is completely free!

 

Download the poster and event information flyer that can be distributed to young people and adults at home. There is a choice this year on whether consent is completed electronically via a Microsoft Forms link or by completing a paper based consent form.
