Third Sector D&G helps people identify appropriate volunteering activities. For some volunteers this is about gaining valuable experience for their CV, while developing skills, enhancing confidence and trying out different options. In addition, we offer a range of tools for volunteers to use, including a software package that helps to analyse their strengths and skills and identifies jobs that match those skills; and a self-learning pack entitled Volunteering and Employability.

Engagement Officers will advise and support individuals to find suitable training opportunities that are provided both by Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway and our members. Volunteer Involving Organisations may provide free training, support and supervision to each individual when they start volunteering, depending individual circumstances.
